A Modeled Day (Template for DIY Daily Routine)


Trauma survivors tend to struggle with pacing ourselves for goals and getting back on track when emotions derail us. At least I know this has been my experience, especially when I am writing and get triggered by some unpleasant memory that is jogged in the process. I recall reading somewhere that it's wise to follow the footsteps of those who have already done what we wish to do. From that, I've been experimenting with what I found of some of my favorite childhood (and adulthood) role models. Maya Angelou tops my list, among others. I also incorporated self care elements inspired by a couple of women that I perceive to put themselves first. 

I made a much prettier template for 'you' to use to create your own inspired and resilient routine, modeled after the people who have already arrived wherever it is that you're going.
